Sakurajima Volcano Monaka is an original confectionary shaped like Sakurajima, Kagoshima’s iconic volcano. The filling is made with carefully selected domestic sweet azuki beans, encased in a fragrant, crispy shell crafted from high-quality glutinous rice. To enhance the flavor and texture, mochi infused with Akune-grown pomelo citrus is added. Not only is it delicious, but its charming design and colors also make it a perfect Kagoshima souvenir.
The shop also offers original janbo-mochi, handheld anmitsu desserts, and soft serve ice cream.
