Kagoshima Spring Festival Dai-hanya
This is one of the largest festivals in the Southern Kyushu region. Dancers come together at multiple locations including Tenmonkan, to sing and dance while holding naruko clappers in one hand, interweaving Kagoshima's folk song "Hanya-bushi" with the Yosakoi dance.
You can enjoy creative and energetic performances from each dancer, corresponding to the free-style music.
This is a seasonal tradition of Kagoshima that takes place during the cool period around the end of April every year.
